Who we are

We are a small family-run business operating a farm and hunt preserve in northern Michigan. We are governed by the laws of Michigan and the United States of America.

What personal data we collect and why we collect it

Hunt Reservations

We use a hunt reservtion process that collects information from you such as your first and last name, email address, phone number and hunt preferences to help streamline the reservation process. We use your phone and email address only to contact you to confirm your reservation or to follow up on your visit.

Media

Some images on the site were voluntarily provided by hunters with permission to use on this site. We will not use images without permission from the content owner.

Cookies

At this time we use cookies only to confirm acceptance of cookie usage as required by EU GDPR or other regulations and to facilitate analytics as described in the next section.

Analytics

Like many websites, we use Google Analytics to provide aggregated insights to us about the areas of the site that our users are visiting over time in order to improve the user experience with this site. None of your personal data is included in this analysis. We take the extra step of anonymizing your IP address prior to sharing this information with Google to further protect your privacy.

Embedded content from other websites

At this time we only incorporate content from Google in order to provide access to Google Maps for directions to the game farm and for user reviews.

In accordance with its own policies, Google may collect data about you, use cookies, embed additional third-party tracking, and monitor your interaction with that embedded content, including tracking your interaction with the embedded content if you have an account and are logged in to that website.

Who we share your data with

We do not share any user data with any 3rd parties for marketing or other purposes with the exception of the following:

• Site analytics as discussed in above.
• We use an email service provider (e.g. Amazon SMTP) to send emails to you and others and to receive email from you. When we communicate with you through this channel, we may use your personal information to make it clear that we have a relationship with you so the message is not considered spam.

How long we retain your data

Analytics data will be retained for 2 years. Reservation request data will be retained for up to 5 years.

What rights you have over your data

If you have made a reservation request, you can request to receive an exported file of the personal data we hold about you, including any data you have provided to us. You can also request that we erase any personal data we hold about you. This does not include any data we are obliged to keep for administrative, legal, or security purposes. Where we send your data

The website and all data stored by it is hosted on servers that are based in the United States. As such, United States-based user data should always be routed within the United States and not through other countries, although this is subject to ISP routing policy that is beyond our control. Use of this site in other countries, or through a user-initiated VPN or other routing mechanism, may result in data being routed outside of the United States.
